News from the « Trousse à projets » initiative with Fondation Rémy Cointreau!

Last May, in the context of the crisis triggered by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Fondation Rémy Cointreau joined forces with Trousse à Projets in France, to fight against dropping out of school and support “100% of connected f@milies”, their project to reduce the digital divide.

The French Ministry of National Education and Solidarity estimates that between 170,000 and 200,000 families are in a situation of digital disconnection; a situation that’s only gotten worse with the closing of schools. As part of this novel initiative, the Fondation has contributed towards the acquisition of basic IT equipment and services for technical high schools preparing students for the trades of tomorrow.

In this back-to-school period, we are pleased to announce that the equipment needed by the beneficiary high schools to fight the digital divide has now been delivered and given to more than 200 students concerned from 9 vocational high schools located in suburban Paris. Training for the staff handling digital support for the students and their families is also underway.

Discover, in video, the first ceremonies of handing over the computers and testimonies from the principals. The joy that can be read on the faces of the beneficiary high school students, despite the masks, is one of our greatest rewards!
