The 2019 award ceremony of the Grand Prix de la création de la Ville de Paris took place on November 29th.
The Fondation Rémy Cointreau supports the Art and Crafts category of the Grands Prix de la Ville de Paris rewarding each year an emerging talent and a confirmed professional talent.
Caroline Martin-Rilhac, General Delegate of the Fondation Rémy Cointreau , was a member of the jury for the second year in a row.
For the category Arts and Crafts:
The “Grand Prix 2019” goes to Cecile Feilchenfeldt.
Cécile is from Switzerland and studied textile design in Zürich, Germany before moving to Paris in 2007. She uses traditional techniques of weaving and knitting to innovate with materials, especially with nylon, rafia, lycra, cotton or cashmere by creating 3D creations.
The « 2019 Talent Emerging » Award goes to William Amor
William creates floral compositions by reusing wastes. An ornament flower maker like no other making waste a noble luxury material. William works with people with disabilities for the realization of his creations, valuing the exchange and the transmission of know-how.
The spotlight is on skill-based sponsorship. The objective is to give the opportunity to the employees of a company to get involve in an association.
The fine crafts and the craftsmen are put in highlights in the French press this year, with a focus on handicrafts.
